What a weekend!

Our inaugural MUCK’ed Up Talent brought together more than 20 young acts for a weekend celebrating courage, creativity and community.

Saturday was about workshops, mentoring, encouragement and giving performers the opportunity to learn from one another.

Then on Sunday, it was time for the Milton Theatre stage.

We had singers, dancers, musicians, bands, circus and stage performers – some experienced in front of an audience and others taking a very big step outside their comfort zone.

And our community turned up to support them, with a near sold-out theatre creating an incredible atmosphere.

Congratulations to Rusty & The Bucketheads, who were announced as our inaugural MUCK’ed Up Talent winners.

But from the beginning, this event was about much more than finding a winner.

It was about giving young people somewhere to have a go, share something they love and know that their community was behind them.

A huge thank you to our mentors, volunteers, families, technical crew and everyone who helped make the weekend possible.

Commonwealth Bank Ulladulla, through the CommBank Community Donations Program, provided the $1,500 prize pool, while ClubGRANTS funding helped us meet other costs associated with delivering the event.

We said it from the beginning:

Every performer deserves an audience.

Our community gave them one.
